Bahay Brewing Co.

Our story

Bahay means home

Bahay Brewing Co. is a craft brewery + kitchen rooted in Filipino identity, hospitality, and storytelling. More than a place to drink, Bahay is a cultural space — a modern-day "third space" where tradition meets creativity and every detail honors heritage. Inspired by the textures of piña fabric, the quiet strength of the carabao, and the warmth of a shared table, Bahay invites guests into a new kind of craft experience. It's thoughtful, soulful, and grounded in a deep love for community — brewed with culture, shared with love.

Bahay is a modern-day third space — not quite home, not quite the world outside, but a place in between where guests gather, feel at home, and celebrate culture together.

Purpose

Bahay Brewing Co. exists to redefine what a brewery can be. It's not just a place for beer—it's a place for belonging. We're here to create a home for those who've never quite seen themselves reflected in the craft beer world. Through culture-driven brewing, warm hospitality, and rich storytelling, we offer more than drinks—we offer representation. Our purpose is to build a third space where community thrives, Filipino identity is celebrated, and curiosity is always welcome. Every pour tells a story, and every guest is part of that story.

Mission

Bahay Brewing Co.'s mission is to create more than just beer. It's to foster a space where Filipino culture, identity, and storytelling are at the center of every experience. Through intentional brewing, warm hospitality, and a spirit of bayanihan, Bahay Brewing invites guests to slow down, share stories, and feel at home. The mission is to challenge the norms of the craft beer world by creating a space where culture and community are as important as what's in the glass.

Vision

Bahay Brewing envisions a future where craft beer becomes a platform for cultural celebration and genuine community. We see a world where underrepresented voices shape the stories poured into every glass, and where guests find comfort, curiosity, and connection in every visit. As Bahay grows, it aims to become a cultural cornerstone—hosting collaborations with Filipino culinary leaders, uplifting local artists, and sparking meaningful conversations about identity, heritage, and belonging.

Meet the dreamer

Kat Desquitado

Founder & Brewer

Instead of going back to work for someone else, I thought… why not start my own brewery?

Kat's story started in Kuwait and the Philippines before she grew up in Los Angeles. She took the "safe" path first — a chemical engineering degree and a decade in corporate — while homebrewing on the side ever since a college beer-tasting class. Then she made a bold move: quit, moved to Dallas, and spent two years working at a local brewery. After having two kids, she decided not to go back to work for someone else. Bahay is the result — a brewery where Filipino heritage meets craft beer. "Bahay" means home.
